PROVIDING MUSIC EDUCATION FOR SASKATCHEWAN

Since conception, Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Society has continued to provide opportunities to enjoy, learn, and participate in acoustic music traditions and to teach these traditions to a new generation in Saskatchewan musicians. Our education connects heritage with nature – and is often revered as more than a festival and entertainment culture – we believe our festival is an active participant in making and preserving Western Canadian history – a bit of ‘Canadiana’ if you are wondering.

YEAR-ROUND MUSIC PROGRAMMING
PROVINCE-WIDE

Northern Lights make an effort to organize consistent year-round programming that collaborates with other music community organizations – both private and public – to form partnerships where there is mutual benefit.

We offer a three-day music festival, our organization offers a music experience unlike anything else in Saskatchewan. We work with Saskatchewan organizations who are interested in sharing a unique music experience that combines both traditional and heritage surroundings while learning from professional instructors in a safe and supportive environment.
