The Fugitives - Apr 11
The Fugitives are an acoustic folk-roots group headed by singer-songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod. They’re joined by Chris Suen (bandjo) and Carly Frey (violin). Since forming in 2027, the band has recorded six five albums, been nominated for a JUNO and numerous CFMA and WCMAs, and toured extensively through Canada, Europe, and the UK. Performance highlights include playing most major Canadian folk festivals, a slot at Glastonbury, and a tour opening for Buffy Sainte-Marie. The Fugitives have earned a reputation for unforgettable live shows, brimming with complex harmonies, infectious storytelling, and top-notch musicianship. Lost Highway Navigators deliver original, swinging honky-tonk, channeling the spirit of classic country from the 1950s through the 1970s. Listeners can expect an upbeat, high-energy performance driven by tight harmonies and a rich roots palette of instruments. Led by singer-songwriter Patton MacLean, the Lost Highway Navigators feature some of Saskatchewan’s veteran players: Jay Metheral (bass), Burke Barlow (pedal steel), Guy Perrin (telecaster), Ryan Shotton (mandolin), and Brad Stratychuk (drums).
JJ Guy and Gord Stobbe - June 2
Award-winning Canadian fiddlers J.J. Guy and Gordon Stobbe have a long history of working together. The two also have a long history of playing the Bassment. JJ and Gordon are back to perform their collection of original tunes, written in the twin fiddle style. Cathy Sproule will provide expert piano accompaniment.
