JAN 15, 2023 The Bassment, Saskatoon 1:30pm – 3:30pm $30 On Jan 15th, join us at the Bassment for some exciting workshops in mandolin, banjo and songwriting. Each instructor will teach a 1 hour class on their instrument followed by a 1 hour jam hosted by the band. Here is some of what you can expect in the classes! Bob Hamilton- Mandolin- From pick grip fundamentals to the secrets of Bill Monroe this icon of the Yukon takes you to task. Jaxon Haldane – Bluegrass Banjo- From Scruggs to Hartford, banjo outside of the box. Get lost with Mr. Haldane Gordie Tentrees- Songwriting – Come spend some time, and steal some tips from International Songwriting Finalist & WCMA Award nominated writer Gordie Tentrees who has also spent the past 2 years writing healing songs as part of an indigenous land based healing program (Shawthan Nazhi) recently named as as finalist for the 2022 Arctic Inspiration Prize.
